How to travel to Suru Valley?

By plane: To reach Suru Valley, you have to book a cab till Ladakh first and then get on a taxi that will take you till Suru Valley that belongs to Ladakh. It is a 200 km journey to Suru Valley from Ladakh airport.

Via car: Suru valley can be reached by car though there are road blockages during winter because of heavy rainfall.

By Train: You can get on a train till the Jammu and Kashmir railway station and then book a taxi till the Suru valley that is located 540 km away from the station.

What can you experience at the Suru valley?

It is hard to blink an eye while you are standing in front of the beautiful Suru valley, situated in Ladakh. It is drained by the tributary of River Indus which in the Suru valley is known as the Suru river and crosses via the Kargil district which is one of the major parts of Suru Valley. If you travel by car, the car will be unable to reach the top of the valley and you have to walk all the way you want to get the desired view of the valley.  For good photography, you have to visit the valley at noon when the sun is at its peak so you get beautiful pictures and that is not possible at any other time because it has deep canyons and gorges on all sides. The availability of support staff hotels is lesser after mid-September because they leave by that time and it is difficult quite to get accommodation and food speciality if you are travelling in a big group during any other time of the year.
